EARL’S SIGMA DELTA PI WEBSITE

This site is now the official Sigma Delta Pi website since the original site,

sigmadeltapi.net, is no longer active. This site is updated periodically and has a searchable Sigma database.

Sigma Delta Pi was a men’s social club that existed on the campus of Weber Junior College in Ogden, Utah from 1938 until just after the college changed to a 4 year university in 1966. In the Fall of 1955 enrolling that quarter was the usual number of recently graduated high school seniors. Also enrolling that quarter were many ex-servicemen taking advantage of the GI bill.

Beginning that Fall quarter, Sigma’s membership became rather unique. It consisted of a combination of younger high school guys and older ex- servicemen. The younger members were fascinated with the “war stories” and experiences of the veterans, and the vets were excited to see youthful enthusiasm unfettered by military discipline.

That combination created a unique “synergism” in all club activities.

For most members, their years in Sigma are remembered as being among the “the golden years” of their youth.  This website is dedicated to preserving the memories of Sigma Delta Pi members from the school years 1956 through 1958 and maintaining current information on members through the 1962 school year.
